Power source and motor friendly harmonic currents are reduced by an 18 pulse converter with a special transformer. The multi-step output current closely approximates a sine wave Exceeds the IEEE-519 specification for harmonics fed back into the power system. A motor with standard insulation can be used with this drive, due to the very small surge voltage associated with the switching of the IGBT devices

The multi-level inverter generates minimal harmonics for the motor Less harmonics fed into the motor improve its efficiency
